This article shares the feeling of school life in the second half of the first month, and I think it’s a good chance for me to write in English.

First of all, I finally started class. The date of the first day of class is October 2nd. We have morning tests at 6:30am. It was very hard and I woke up early. In the morning, the test was about essential English words. So, we must be ready before yesterday night. If your test didn’t pass over three times, then your weekend can not go outside and you must stay at school on weekends. That’s why this makes me very stressed.

Then, after the test, we can start eating breakfast. Breakfast starts from 7:30am to 8:30am. Then, the first time I tasted breakfast I felt nothing special about it, I thought it was okay to eat. After, we are going to the first lesson. When I was in my class, I didn’t understand what the teacher was talking about. I just only asked my teacher to write on the blackboard, and I used the translation of the phone to try to communicate with teachers. Moreover, the teacher spoke simple words or wrote simple words and patiently taught me that made me feel great and happy. Although there is no special activity in the first week. I am still confused. And I continued taking classes like this way.

In addition, we also can have exams every night. The exam contained phrases. One hour before the test, we must wait for an hour. Such a day of exams and classes and self-studying is really tiring. Let me start thinking about wanting to go back home, because it’s too hard. Then, the last day of class on friday. My classmate invited papa kits, the place where you can drink alcohol or order food. This place is very good and students are relaxed. The papa kits also have a band and singer, we were there to enjoy dancing and drinking. It’s a very happy Friday night. By the way, consumption is really cheap here.

Next, I found that taxi fares are much cheaper than Taiwan. However, I heard native Filipinos can not afford to pay for taxis, they just take jeepney cars. Another thing that shocked me is that there are almost no traffic lights here, only traffic lights in big cities. Our school is very rural and remote. I haven’t seen the traffic lights near the school. We can only cross the road by traffic command or by ourselves. I think it is really dangerous. So I can not adapt to the environment and food here. Next, I will go to the nearby place on the first Sunday.

I found that there are very poor children here who are begging you. If you do not ignore children, they could grab your clothes and try to continue begging again. Those things make me feel scared and doubt the law has problems here. Furthermore, there is no train in Cebu, only a train in the city of Manila. Then, the air here is dirty and dusty.

The weather is very dry and very hotter than Taiwan, which causes me to get hot and uncomfortable. Finally, although learning English is very hard, it is very hard to adapt to the environment here. I think because it is only the first month I took the course, and that’s why I still feel a bit uncomfortable. I believe in myself and tell myself to stick to it and get good results.
